I have been developing my own logo over the course of the year, and now I have come to print some business cards and I want to use it.
I will be printing from the website Moo. I ordered a free sample pack of business cards from them on Thursday and they arrive today. Very quick. If you haven’t already ordered a pack, go and do it, everyone loves a freebie.
A variety of cards, from slim to square. Glossy, recycled, gold foiled, embossed. A all different gsm paper weights.
I have chosen to print slim business cards 70 mm x 28 mm, just for a compact sleek outcome. Which didn’t actually come with the sample pack, but at least I have this for future reference now.
I learnt some new techniques in Illustrator on Friday which I put into some use today.
I always had a problem with aligning the M to the H, however in Illustrator I converted the text to outlines which then allowed me to manipulate the text. Creating much more flow through the M to the H.
I have chosen the background green/grey colour just for now whilst I contemplate which colour to go for, I am undecided whether to change it or not. Please feel free to leave a comment on the colour, does it work for you?
