Today I have been working with typography. I did a typography workshop, which used a section of my Vision/Mission/Profile writing and experimented with different typefaces to see what did and didn’t work.
I experimented with serif, san serif, block serif, hairline serif, script, black, bold and regular typefaces.
I can see one that seriously doesn’t work…script. Script is an abomination to typography when used like this.
This task introduced me to hairline serifs which I would like to explore more.
In the exploration stages I was struggling to make my sentence work, it looked wrong when I tried to construct a well composed sentence.
My tagline was:
We are determined to produce refreshing, nourishing and all natural products.
This sentence just didn’t sit very well any way I put it.
I edited the text, and got rid of a few unnecessary parts, so now it reads as.
It’s much more easier to say, very to the point and snappy.
