I had some great feedback after my pecha kucha presentation on Tuesday. One of the comments was about my tagline’s position and size. I have been developing my tagline in relation to my feedback.
I have set the tagline to fit under the k-i-n-d rather than the k-i-n. See image below the tagline sat under the k-i-n and it made it stand out, as if k-i-n was something to read on it’s own, it really wasn’t working. I believe it’s much more successful now (above) with the tag line under the k-i-n-d, it reads much better.
Another thing that wasn’t successful with my previous design was the lower case tagline. The ascenders of the letters created an unbalanced feeling, by having a few ascenders to one end, it made it look lopsided. However now I have made all letters on the tagline capital letters, which has created a much more centred and balanced look.
Just a few different insights into my development work and outcomes, have given my design a much more considered look. It is much more successful now. It goes to show that feedback is essential. It’s too easy to think you’re making great work. Development is something I need to focus more on, I reach a “final” outcome too quickly, I need to start to really consider my development, because here’s proof that it’s made my work that bit better.
