I have been adjusting my infographic because I came to realise that it didn’t explain very much, I knew what it meant, but a stranger wouldn’t. I have kept to the same chalk theme to communicate the hand crafted side of my brand.
I watched a great tutorial which showed me how to make a piece of work look like it has been drawn with chalk.
As you can see my last infographic above was very uninformative. However I wanted to carry over the elements that I have created here.
” A homeless person may suffer from rejection and isolation making them feel unwelcome. Stepping Stone are here to help homeless people feel like people again. Stepping Stone holds furniture building workshops everyday, helping to develop social connections and hard skills. Any piece of furniture will be placed into the cafe and can be purchased, with all the profits going to the builder.”
I have also toned down my message, I have stopped saying “dehumanised” because somebody wouldn’t like to read that about themselves or be classed as that.
I need to work on setting the type a bit better, I just wanted to see how the chalk effect would work. I also want to experiment more with the boarders around the type, possibly something more hand drawn and less geometric.
Take care that it doesn’t look like head stone! the font will make a difference here. E
