I have been developing Amazonfresh’s tone of voice, and how that could be applied through different social media platforms.
I used the current amazon twitter page to use as a template.
I was not just going for visuals, I wanted to get a tone of voice across. And because my angle is about making amazonfresh friendly, and as if its someone you might know. I mocked up a tweet from them:
“Introducing our new friend @danthebakerman. Dan’s the latest addition to one of hundreds of independent producers, available at http://www.amazonfresh.com”.
I think this is successful at bringing the producer away from the ‘mass producer’ image, to more of a ‘local producer’ image, which I am trying to communicate with my branding.
I originally started working on the image above, changing the current colours of the amazon twitter page, from orange to green, with the paint-bucket tool. However, this just looked poorly done, showing most of the orange still. I took to re-typing the whole thing to have complete control over the way it looked.
I’m glad the first editing looked bad and didn’t work the first time, because that lead me to re-typing the text, which had just made it look a lot more considered.
