I have been working on finalising my brand identity for my FMP. I have been focussing on incorporating a motif and design, rather than just having a blank colour, which previously just looked undeveloped and unfinished.
The three images above are some try outs and development when I was working towards creating a motif. I felt that these were unsuccessful at achieving the look that I wanted but I knew that I was moving in the right direction.
I began incorporating the colour yellow as a background for my logo, I feel that this has really given it that last push into a more successful logo. The bright, vibrant yellow really creates a contrast that makes the logo pop off the page.
I have ran the motif through my other brand applications to build a stronger continuity throughout the brand.
And what I think is working well is even my 3D element is communicating the motif that is now running through my brand applications.
When printing my final designs, for some reason the green colours on the right didn’t print the motif as clearly as the other two colours. This is unfortunate, if I had more time I would continue to troubleshoot, and if I had more money I would continue to run test prints, alas I have neither.
