After my last research blog I have been developing a poster design whilst focussing on a strong and concise typographic layout, whilst using my brand colours to create a background.
I took influence from the Wexford festival, I thought their layout was very successful because of the simple typographic design contrasting the vibrant and fun background.
What I think is working for my poster is the triangle design because it works at communicating the image of tents, which one might expect to see at a festival. The platform that is created under the word upon worked perfectly to place the 2017 underneath it.
I wanted to communicate a fun, vibrant and contemporary feeling, whilst simultaneously keeping to the continuity that I have created throughout my branding. I think I have been successful in doing what I have set out to do, because I have stuck to my brand colours, and the pieced together feeling that is used to build my logo.
